A fictional route in a US Far-West desert landscape.
Fairland Oklahoma to Seneca Missouri
Author(s): Al. Thanks :-)
- km
This is a fictitious route running from Fairland Oklahoma to Seneca, Missouri. It is a Burlington Northern-Santa Fe road, running through the Green Country of northeastern Oklahoma into Missouri then Southward into Arkansas.
Rocky Mountains
Author(s): unknown. Thanks :-)
- km
Rocky Mountains route is based on Desert Freight. But it has a feeling which is very different from the feeling of the desert route. It shows an express passing through the snow-covered mountains. The route starts in Great Falls (USA) and finishes in Cranbrooks (Canada). These are real railway stations in the area, even if the route is fictional.
Seneca to Monett
Author(s): Al. Thanks. :-)
- km
This is a continuation of the fictitious Fairland route based on the route of the BNSF line that runs near the author's home, moving intermodal container cars and coal hoppers northeastward into southern Missouri then angling down southeasterly into Arkansas; an unsophisticated ride through the countryside. Some photos were used with a CC license and should retain the credit line if used elsewhere.
The trackside ornaments are characteristic of the region altho not necessarily technically correct. The town of Burden Kansas provided the inspiration for the street scenes.
